I was just wondering if any of you guys have any info on the Weatherby SA-459 12ga. My son was wonting one and I've not really heard a lot of people talk about that gun.
There is alot about them in the 20 gauge section. I have one in 20 gauge and its the best pure turkey gun i have ever owned. I only carry it now. I am done with my 12ga.The sa-459 is a dream to carry and coupled with a Burris FF3 and Federal heavyweight #7 ,its unbelievable. I think your son would love it.Here is a pic of my 20ga.Lee
I'm another SA459 20 ga. owner. Can't speak for the 12 but the 20 is a sweet little set up.
Have a 20 with the fast fire and its a pure turkey killer

Agree, i put my first 20 ga. gun together and hunted last year with it and i want go back to a 12 ga. either..mine is a 870 with sure shoot stock, scope etc...i bought a youth model and changed it all up...Killed one of my best turkeys with it last year with federal HW 7
I have had a few of them now in the 20ga... for strictly turkey, there is not a better gun.
Is that a gun made in Turkey on a contract?
Yes, select Weatherby, select SA Mossberg, Tri Star, Girsan, Escort, and many more. They all share a lot of similarities.
But from what I know.. Weatherby has a more QC and has their own people inspect each batch. Not sure if that is all true.. but there SA gun certainly has more bells and whistles when compared to the Mossberg SA.
I have about 5 of these Turkish shotguns.. they are all good.
