God blessed a thug this mourning, I got this bird at 6:45am, these 2 gobblers sounded off this mourning but not alot, not like they usauly do then they came into a field with 5 hens across from me and strutted the whole time, them hens acted as if they didn't want anything to do with them for some reason, these birds were about 175yrds away and I thiught they would leave out the other end of the field but the hens turned and came toward me and then left the field to my left. I made some soft purrs and yelps and them guys got interested. I was afraid I would spooke them because there was a hen behind me that I could not see then she started to putting real fast so I soft purred again and them boys relaxed, I did not think they would ever spit up enough to get a shot off but finaily at 12 steps my time came. The Lord God gets all the glory for this, I could not of got him if not for the wonderful blessing I preyed for on the way to the woods.

Captain Rick Sir, congrats on a great bird!! :icon_thumright:
Thanks guys, I dont know if I said it or not, but there was a small doe in this field that went ballistic when these birds flew down, she ran, bucked, snorted and carried on for 15min, she even got so close to me I could of spit on her, just knew she was going to spook them birds. I've seen deer and turkeys together before but never with a deer acting like this.
