I have a crystal Lohman Thunderdome my dad gave me about 12-14 years ago. I've been hunting it every since but i lost the striker it came with and i've just been using an old striker that sounds decent. Not sure the brand or the material. Anyhow, i was wondering what y'all thought the best striker would be for this old call. I didn't realize they were so valuable until i started looking for a new one to buy. The one i have has a few dents in the dome but other than that, it's in good shape. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a slate thunder dome with lots of dents and it is an awesome call. Any reputable wooden striker will do the job. I recommend that you try some of your turkey slaying buddies' strikers and find the top two to either steal ;D
or purchase. Good luck.
The Crystal Thunderdome came with a thin carbon fiber striker.
I have a buddy that is deadly with one using a Black Locust striker.
