I've been seeing this buck on my game cameras since I put them out early last summer. I had never actually seen him until yesterday. I got home from visiting family about noon and decided to go up on the ridge and sit until dark. It didn't take that long. A little after 1pm, this guy came running by with 4 does. After I shot him, I needed a little help to get him to the truck. My biggest buck to date.

Before I gutted him, I could barely move him. No help nearby. Drove tractor up through the woods to about 20 yards from where he fell. Drove up to the truck, dropped the tailgate and "loaded" him. :TooFunny:
Congrats Steve!

Dropped him off this evening.
The processor said he looked like a steer hanging in the locker beside the other deer. Hanging weight was right at 200. Green score on rack was 140 with 5" bases.
Nice buck, Congrats!!
That is a big, pretty 8 pointer.
It sounds like he was ambitious and a rascal, with 4 does of his own.
Have you eaten the backstrap yet?
