Im sure this question has been asked about a thousand times, Im having a hard time posting pics on here...Im fairly new to the site and was just wondering. Every time I try and post one it says the file is too large.
To post a pic, you need to save them to a photo hosting website. A lot of guys, including me, use Photobucket. Photobucket allows you to choose the size of the photo you save.
Another way to resize pics is to use the Paint program on your computer. Right click on your picture, and then click on "open with", then "paint". When the new window opens with the paint program and your pic, click on "image" from the menu at the top of the page. Then when the drop down menu opens, click on "Resize/Skew". When the new window opens on top of the pic, you get to choose percentages of the original size. Try starting with 75%. If that is still too big, click on "edit", then "undo", to return the pic to its original size. Then start working your way down with smaller percentages until you find a suitable picture size. When you do, click on file, then "save as", and save the pic, then upload it to Photobucket, or whatever picture storing website you use.

otherwise if you are using the attachment upload option, you should resize the image to around 500 pixels in width
a good online photo resizer place FREE to use is http://picresize.com/
just do custom for the file properties and you can type in 500 pixels in widht... I will try to get a tutorial up on how to use picresize.com in a few!!
