Made this one this week for a friend it is made from 5160 steel heat treated and tempered to around 56rc. It is a monster at 1/4" thick. nearly 8-1/2" long with a 4-1/2" blade edge. The handles are Waterfall Bubinga from Africa. The bolsters are made from Damascus Steel 512 layer. The pins are 1/8" and 3/16" brass. Sharp and headed to the woods next week for deer season.

Just wanted to say thank you for the comments, here she is in the sheath, everything is made from scratch just like momma's old time biscuits. The steel came from ADS Alabama Damascus Steel company in Jacksonville Alabama, the pins and wood out of the shop, the leather is from oklahoma leather company, again thank you for the kind words, pappy(http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r646/pappyscalls/IMG_0821_zpsv19r1u79.jpg) (http://s1360.photobucket.com/user/pappyscalls/media/IMG_0821_zpsv19r1u79.jpg.html)
