Title: new sa-459 and vx1
Post by: fixedblade on November 15, 2016, 10:10:38 PM
So, I just bought a new weatherby sa-459. I also got a Loupold vx-1 , with medium rings. I've been using a Rem. 1100, 3inch, 30inch, full choke. sence 1985. It has never let me down, but it's HEAVY. I'll be needing to get a choke for the sa-459, any suggestings?

First of all, welcome to OG. We're glad you're here and look forward to hearing more from you.

You have a very wide choice of chokes to use with your Weatherby SA 459. It would help to know if yours is a 12 or 20 gauge and what shells you intend to use with it. With just a bit more information, Ii can make a better recommendation for you.

Thanks,
Clark

I don't shoot the high dollar shells. did buy some federal 3rd degree last year. I don't shoot at birds 50 yards out. I was taught , You haven't called the bird in unless he's within 30 yards. But i have shot a couple at 40.
