Title: Permar Henry Davis
Post by: KentuckyHeadhunter on November 07, 2016, 03:14:42 PM
Just received the number 10 of the Henry Davis commemorative edition.  Ralph is only gonna make 25 of these and they are exact replicas of the original except with African blackwood instead of cocobolo.  This is a museum quality horn in my opinion.  I will make sure she sees the woods at least a few times though!  Thanks Ralph for another amazing trumpet.

A true quality piece from one of the best. I've wanted one since he first came out with it.

I'm calling Ralph and reserving one of them.. beautiful caller.

Look forward to seeing the "Old Geezer" at Unicoi I hope. He is a hoot.

Andy you need one of these horns!  Unfortunately Ralph told me he had to make some decisions this year and will NOT be at Unicoi.  He said he would miss it.

Very nice Allen! A killer for sure. I'll bet the case was as hard to make as the horn!

Correct Anthony. Ralph says the cases are actually harder to make than the call.  There is a blind hole halfway down the center and the yelper is held in place by only friction.  It's a very interesting design when they are together.

Nice. I have a "few" Permar's and they are all filled with hens.
