Title: Sweet Gum slate
Post by: KentuckyHeadhunter on October 23, 2016, 01:21:26 PM
Not many people have heard of Roger Bender of Indiana. This is one of his gorgeous pots from an uncommon material.  Common tree but the wood is difficult to stabilize.  Sweet Gum slate over glass with two piece Sweet Gum/Hickory striker.  His wife, Connie, may still hold the record for longest Oscellated spurs at an amazing 2.3125".  She broke a record that stood for 19 years!  I'm not sure if he is still making calls but this one was worth sharing.
