Title: I finally got my 870 20ga drilled for a scope mount!
Post by: old frank on October 15, 2016, 02:44:33 PM
I had been wanting to have this done for several years but did not have any luck finding a gunsmith reasonably close who thought he could do it.
I finally asked an older gunsmith who I shoot pistols with and he said he had a mill and would do it.

I am glad to have the saddle mount off and my Red Dot mounted!

That looks great.  I had my daughter's drilled and tapped and I think it shoulders good with an optic on top.  She really likes it.

Nice job. I did the same thing with mine, but I drilled and tapped it myself. Took my time and used plenty of cutting oil. No problemo.
