I have a comp-n-choke xxx. Its for a remington supermag 870 23" barrel. Does anyone have a good combo to shoot using this choke? I also have a 11-87 20" barrel any thoughts? Thanks
I don't believe the CompNChoke is rated for Hevi.
I shoot that same set up CompNchoke xxx w/ a 23" 870 SM. The choke is a .665
I shoot good ole Winchester High Velocity 3 1/2" #6's (lead).

Agreed....Awesome lead choke.
With that type of porting, I'd pass on using anything but lead with a comp-n-choke...

It's an awesome lead choke, though.
I would agree, I shoot it in a Kicks but would not in a CNC
tight cnc+hevi= new gun or worse :z-guntootsmiley:
Thanks for all the replies, I have some 3.5 & 3 winchester HV lead I will try.
Here is a picture of how my Benelli M4 (18.5" barrel) patterned with 3" 1.75oz #7.5 shot Hevi 13 and XXXFull Comp-N-Choke. The outlined inner circle is 20" and outer is 30".

The XXXFull Remington Comp-N-Choke is a .665, and it shoots the 1 3/4 oz Win HV 3" shells well. I can only assume that in a 3.5" it will shoot the 2 oz HV Win well also.
I started out shooting them in #5s when I shot lead, but the #6s threw a mean pattern out of my 21" bbl 870 Special Field.
x2 mine is a 26" bbl and the Win HV 3-1 3/4-6 is a great pattern for lead.
Do not use Hevi-Shot with Comp-N-Choke!!
