Title: New to me camper
Post by: 762hunter on October 02, 2016, 07:31:36 PM
Been looking for quite a while and just found a small camper.  The lady I bought it from said it was a Scamp.

Anybody know anything about the fiberglass Eggs?

Plan to make it my portable turkey lodge.
Any suggestions?

Not sure what all modifications I plan to do.

All I know about it is that I'm jealous. Would love to find a small one to take onto the hunting club to spend a couple days with my buddy and just hunt our tails off but instead we drive back to my actual camp every day. It's nice to have a camp but it'd be cool to just be able to walk back instead of have to drive it every day. Congrats man.

I'm very jealous. I want one of them bad. Do you mind sharing what it you paid for it in case I ever find one.

I've seen several of them at campgrounds over the years.  Usually they are white with red lettering.  The ones I've seen have bunk beds and a stove.  They are really light so you probably wont even know your pulling it.  Make sure the wheel bearing are greased and in good shape then paint it camo and your set.

I had been looking for quite a while, cheapest I've seen one for the condition its in. I gave $2,500

Its really basic, a set of bunks to the right as you walk in the door, plenty of shelf space to store stuff and the back has a dinette that makes into a bed. No hear and no air at this time.

It does sit really low, that may be one of the 1st modifications I make, heck it was tough backing it in my driveway with it bottoming out
