Title: SA-459 Weatherby
Post by: wvnut3 on September 16, 2016, 11:27:16 AM
Here are my first 2 shots with the new SA-459 and Trulock Fed Heavyweight 7 choke. It was a warm 80 degrees and humid morning. Targets were @40yds estimated with a laser. The barrel was deep cleaned and bore snake in between shots. These Fed Heavyweight #7 3 " are some of the older shells that i have from 2013.Lee

Those will get the job done.  Awesome for a factory load in the 20!

Yes it will. I am pretty happy with it considering how hot and humid it was. i figure it will tighten up some when the temperature comes down a bit, i seem to have the best patterns when temps are in the 60's. I am extremely happy except for a couple of holes. I have to say this gun is a dream to shoot and i could shoot it all day long. I can't believe it took me this long to get a 20 ga. Lee

Yep, my SA-459 shoots about the exact same. 150 in the 10in is about the most I want to see.  Anything over that (in this set up) is too tight for real world hunting IMO.
