My brother sent me a couple phone pics this morning of his youngest boy's (13 yrs old) 1st season turkey that he killed just after flydown this morning. The photos aren't high quality because they are from his phone. In usual fashion, they didn't measure anything. When I asked he said......"he was a good bird". ;D He guessed the bird "close to 20 lbs, between 10" and 11" beard, and spurs were a little over 1 inch". Sounds like a good enough description to me.

This is the same nephew that I've been in a deer stand with the last two seasons when he filled his gun tag. I also bowhunted with him last year while he waited for a shot opportunity at a big 8 pt right underneath us that finally spotted him.
Congrats to your nephew and your brother!!

Looks like a beauty to me. :icon_thumright:
Good stuff. Congrats to the young man.
My title may have been misleading. This bird was killed during the IL 1st Season that started yesterday. This is not his first bird, but I believe his fourth bird. He killed a 25 lb bird last year and a couple jakes before that.
Nice bird, congrats :icon_thumright:
