I took this q tip case  drilled some air holes in it and made a mouth call holder out of it.  I think it's a good way at least to store them in the off season.  It's only .97 and look at it this way at least you will have clean ears. I carry something like that in the field hunting. I use a plastic box that held crimp connectors for #12 guage wire. I drill a bunch of holes in it and a sharpie finish. It is on a lanyard around my neck when I hunt.

Great DIY idea there. Vent holes are a must imo.
