I picked up a Tom Teasers Quick Sack this season and immediately was a believer, sold my vest two days later.

I pack a red rock sling bag. Two pot calls and 4 strikers fit in the ccw pocket. Two locator calls in the larger side pocket. Call conditioners in the zippered pockets on top flap. Front small zippered pocket holds a spare slate and some miscellaneous items. The large main pouch holds a water bottle or thermocell, shells, tags, knives, and some small snacks. Only thing it wouldn't carry is a box call, but I don't carry one. I tried it this season after years with a vest. I won't say I am totally convinced that the perfect vest wouldn't get me back in one, but it was nice to mix it up. You can really stay cooler when the temps climb and get comfy at the tree. I have some heavy fleece decoy bags, and I sit on those instead of carrying a cushion.

I don't have one yet but I'm really considering one of the Brossie bags for next season. It won't be my go to bag but it'll be what I grab when the hunt is short and quick or they're calling for rain, etc. That's the intentions anyway. Haven't seen a bag yet that looks as goodness s far as what they can fit for the size.

Used the Brossie this season and loved it. The shoulder strap is poor. Same goes for quick sack. I use a better shoulder strap off of a duck blind bag.

Yup, no zipper and don't think it'll last too many years but I still really like using it. Been meaning to get another one to replace the one I'm using when it wears out. I don't think I'd like the bag as much if it had a zippered closure anyway, considering I don't use any sort of cushion and have to pick twigs and leaves out of my backside it don't bother me to pick them out of my bag either.

Yeah I agree, the strap is poor, but I almost think it's a deliberate design to keep the bag as light and simple as possible.

I replace the strap on my Brossie with this, and its now perfect, for me.
