Title: Windmill outfitters in OK
Post by: codym on June 11, 2016, 08:21:16 PM
Hello guys I'm thinking of taking my dad on a hunt next year and I would really like to try OK. Knowing his schedule we will only have a few days and would like to not have to worry about food and lodging. I ran across Windmill outfitters in OK and looks like a good deal. Anyone ever hunted with them before? Please feel free to PM if you would like. I have already and talked to Kieth and he seems like a good guy and he is a retired Marine so I think I know everything I need to, but would like to hear others experiences. Thanks

I hunted with Windmill once and had a good time.  They did put us in good turkey country but they had a plethora of Jake's that year that would flat run off a gobbler.   Hunter22 has hunted with Keith more than once.
I got one nice gobbler. I would go back.

Four of us hunted there a few years back and all left with our two birds each. Was a fun time with good people

I hunted with Keith three springs. I filled 7 tags on those hunts. The first year he allowed 3 gobblers to be taken. He runs a good hunt with great accommodations and food in an old farmhouse. I was not crazy about having to be out of the woods in the evenings two hours before dark but it was his hunt so we went by his rules. He wanted to protect the roosts and did not want birds harvested coming back to their roosting areas. Like all outfitters he had some land that was covered up with turkeys and some areas that were pretty sparse. But he could put you on a gobbler anytime he wanted to.
