Well, with season gone and pockets empty....now is the time to start saving for next year. Here is my shopping list (short, but sweet).
-Tenzing TV14 Turkey Vest OR Cabela's Tactical Tat'r 2 (gunna try them out before purchasing...suggestions welcome)
-870 Compact...TSS#8...custom rattle can paint job...iron sights...looking for even "200/200" split in the 10"/20" ring.
-Russell Moccasins Turkey hunter w/ Turtle Skin. If you don't know....search them.
-About 20 mouth calls (decided this year to lighten the load and go exclusive with mouth calls).
-Redhead Stalker Lite Pants (Trutimber Kanati Camo)
I'm sure there will be more, but I'm up to about $1700 or so as of right now.
What's on yalls list?????

Don't lighten that load too much. Your gonna need that box call on a windy day. Or even that fresh snap of a good slate or glass pot.
Post up them new toys my OG brother. I'm going to refresh on some new reeds in the off season as well.
:anim_25:
Johnny
My list of calls I need for next year are
- Lonnie Mabry box and slate
- Natural addiction trumpet
- Willow Ridge friction wood
- SS scratch box
Gonna try to restrict myself to just one new call next year. Thinking a new box from Spring Creek (I like doing doing business with fellow Michiganders). I know I'll end up with a least a half dozen new mouth calls too because they're relatively cheap and I just can't help myself. Also, a Browning Camping Strutter chair.
Spurs, I checked out those Russell Moccasin boots. Sure sound great but they sure are pricey. WAY out of my price range. Think I'll stick with my Mucks and Danner Pronghorns.

4. Going to get new camo (not sure what pattern)
Check out Trutimber. They have a pattern called "new conceal". Very good looking with a lot of contrasting colors...haven't seen in on clothing yet, assuming it is very new and they haven't got that far yet.

Lifetime warranty is well worth it to me. Will have them pay for themselves in 3-4 seasons

Probably some mouth calls. I have more good pot and box calls than I can use in a season. I know, it's sacrilege to say that. :help:
Probably some new camo jeans, some backpack style straps to sew on my Gobbler Lounger sack and the mouth calls ought to fix me up for next spring.
I'll spend my money out OOS tags! :icon_thumright:
My Russell's are the best boots I have ever owned. Worth every cent.
Ol tom full vest
Mossy Oak camo
Few pots calls
Few box calls
Snake boots
Trumpet call
I'm sure I'll think of something else
All of you guys need to come to the Unicoi Custom Call Makers Show in Helen, GA January 13th & 14th!! Sorry, but you won't find camo there, nor choke tubes....nothing but custom made turkey calls!!
Mark
My usual 3-4 new mouth calls
A new pair of Irish setter rut masters
Thats probably about it. Headed to Nebraska next spring so that's gonna take most of my "extra money"! What little bit more I have will go to broadheads and arrows for this fall.
#1 on my shopping list: Out of state tags...lots of them...I love to travel, I love to hunt.
Gods of Thunder
2015 Old Gobbler contest Champions
Tactical tat'r on sale in bargain cave now..$59.99 that's 50% off
I have everything I need until I see something I want. :toothy12:
I'm looking at a dsd hen. Probably a feeder hen. A ceramic pot, some strikers, and I want a pair of lacrosse alphabyrly 4x4 snake boots. Going to upgrade my vest as well, but not sure to what yet.
Semper Fidelis
Call wise. Got a Sneed Hot Hen on order. Two Torman strikers. And would like to pick up a Paul box call.
Also thinking about picking up a truck bed tent for out of state hunts next spring.

Man I'd stay away from the jackal 2. I just sent a pair back that I bought before the season started. They leaked like a milk peppered with number 8s within a week. I'm getting my money back and putting them towards pronghorn snake boots.

I bought a ton this year so next year should be lighter.
1. More mouth calls, definitely a backup Gooserbat bacon
2. Remington 20 gauge choke for HW7's , sumtoy maybe?
3. Switch to HW7's
4. If the rumored new mossy oak pattern comes out, I'll get some of that.
5. Picked up a Halloran walnut wenge slat on here this week!
That may possibly be it.

Russells
Isn't really a thing I can think of right now , but I can imagine a bunch of stuff will come to mind , especially with threads like this and all the helpful call makers on here
I'll be buying a pair of Danner snake boots in Mossy Oak bottomland. Also a few more mouth calls.
A few calls, maybe some camo and shells, definitely shells. If I use one box then I buy two.
I made the mistake of buying my first custom call this year, so about the only thing on my list is calls, calls and more calls.....probably another box of Mag Blends and some more Greenleaf too.
I would like to pick up a call or two from Jimmy Schaffer. He made a personalized call for me thing spring and it was the best sounding and easiest call I have played.

Do we have to get all dressed up to come there to shop?
thats one of the big reasons I like going to the dollar store----you don't have to get dressed up all spiffy like you do when going to fancy places like walmart.
I have a few things on my list
Choke tube for my new to me 16ga 870
16ga ammo
Hanks glass call
Tags
A few mouth calls
A few new strikers
I'm guessing there will be more added to the list, but as of today, this is it.

I purchased the Tat'r-2 vest this season, and have enjoyed it. My options are limited being somewhat small, and it was nice to have a vest that actually fits that was also designed well...
Last couple seasons I have purchased both Hooks and Gooserbat calls, and have not been disappointed... Nice thing about custom calls is that you can call the call-maker, tell them what you are looking for, and they will recommend the best options.... Seeing as how diaphragm calls have a limited life-span, I tend to purchase them closer to the season.
As important diaphragm calls are, I sure enjoy friction calls though... I'd hate to leave my box call and scratcher at home. Diaphragm calls are a great turkey hunting tool, but friction calls are fun and useful toys...
Probably a couple of new calls (a new box call from SS for sure), and perhaps some new camo bibs (mine are ill fitting and faded).
I've already talked to an area farmer who observed turkeys pulling up sprouting corn and picking off the kernel to eat. He was very irritated at this and, during the fall and spring seasons, I volunteered to help him thin out the number of turkeys on his farm to which he quickly agreed. I plan to see if other farmers are suffering this malady from the turkey flocks and I'll again volunteer to help them out.
