Title: SS boxes

I asked Al to make me a couple of short boxes in something different and he nailed them. I asked for field grade boxes simply because I like the look of them without checkering. These are two different hens, both great sounding and great looking calls. One is Leopardwood/Butternut and the other is Ebony/Persimmon.

Congrats Jody. Those are two great looking boxes. I have a couple of the SS boxes in Persimmon combos and love both of them.

Awesome calls! 

I have found Al's box calls effortless to play, and one side of the box sounds just as good as the other.  I can't say enough good things.

I really like the looks of the ebony.  I have an ebony/yellow poplar on order with him right now, and cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Those look great!  I have them making one for my brother that I'll give him on his birthday.  Purpleheart/butternut combo.  If you have a chance, post a sound file.  I'd love to hear them!
