Two weeks before the season starts I am told that one of the farms I've been hunting the last 10 years I can no longer hunt. The rights to hunt it have been given up by the manager. Bummer...
The other farm I have permission to hunt can't be hunted until an auction winner harvests a bird. He's hunted one time since the season opened March 15th from daylight until 10:30am. Suffice it to say I don't think he is gonna kill one NOT hunting. Chances of me getting a hunt on this property are slim waiting for this guy to actually kill something other than my chances.
I've got only one other place I can go. Opening day I hunted there and heard a logging truck start up at 9:30am. They are select cutting the place. Perfect! I'm stymied. No place to hunt and no warning it was gonna happen.
I'm assured they are "most" likely done cutting so I'm gonna try again Wed. God willing I'll get one after all this. It's been an extremely trying season. You sure can't get one without a place to go!!!
I'm praying for some luck.
That an't good ,,, One nice thing bout PA we got tons of public land
maybe you should see if you can 'guide' that auction winner. Get him a bird and you're in the chips :smiley-char092:

I would be happy to and have guided that property in the past but someone else is doing it this time. The guy who is guiding can't hunt there either until the auction winner gets his bird.
