My sons first bird of the season. We got him to the gun on our second set up after 3 hens took him away off the roost. After a 1/2 mile hike to get around and above the birds I worked the hens hard and ticked them off to the point where they came lookin and the gobbler naturally followed. A 3", 1.75oz load of Winchester HTL #6's from his 11/87 SuperMag turned out the lights. The bird weighed in at 19lbs. 1" of spur and an 8.5" beard. I figure a nice 2yr old!
Good job. Congrats to you both
Congratulations
