I am looking to buy my first trumpet and learn how to run it before next season. Which maker would you recommend ?

I can personally speak for Buice, Natural Addiction, Brian Mero, Motherlode, AGE, Pappy, and Ralph Permar. They all make quality trumpets that are easy to learn on.

Go ahead and get a Buice and practice, practice, practice. You'll want to quit and sell the call but it'll come to you eventually.

Buice trumpets have interchangeable mouthpieces. Nice touch. You can change the sound of the trumpet by changing the mouthpiece.
