Has anyone else notice a lot more hens coming to the calls this year? I've not seen this many hens coming to the calls this year in over 5 years of hunting. Use to never see many hen's coming to the calls.
Our season in Ohio came in a week earlier than normal.
Not sure if that has much to do with it but, I've seen and called in more hens this year.
I try and count how many single hens I call in each season, i am up to 7 as of now...pretty normal amount so far for me, wish they would bring there boys with. Although I am tagged out as of now!
Had the first one today. Had another Yelp back at me a little at a different spot, but that was it.....still haven't decided if it was actually a hen or a person.

Agree...I've called in 3 on 3 different occasions now.
Hens have been really protective for the most part around here. Taking toms the opposite way as soon as they hear competition. Starting to find a few workable toms here and there now. Bad part is I don't get to hunt till thursday.
