Just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. Don't feel all that bad but definitely don't wanna hurt my mouth or get a dry socket. Any tips on taking friction calling to that next step?
No real tips here, just practice, practice and practice some more.
Hope the mouth heals fast!
Practice!!
Go to YouTube where there's lots of good videos on just about anything to do with turkey hunting. I learned that I'd been picking up my striker from the face of the slate which is not needed and produces a better sound if left in contact with it, especially for clucks.
Get a good box call, and you might find yourself using it more even after you heal up...
I used to highly favor mouth calls, and have gone back to a preference for the wood... I always purchase a couple new diaphragms each year, but will likely buy a good box call each season now as well... That is the problem with box calls; they are as addictive to buy as they are to use...
Hope you heal quickly. It was a nightmare when I had my wisdom teeth taken out, ended up with 3 dry sockets. It was terrible!
