Title: First ever bird

Just wanted to share my first ever bird.  Taken in Southeast Nebraska at 11:30am on a beautiful 80 degree day.  Thanks to Mike Crooks at Spring Creek Calls for a top-notch Box and Chad Scruggs for a top-notch Crow Locator.  9 1/4 inch beard and 1 1/2 inch spurs .  Super excited!

Congrats! The first was the hardest for me! It got a bit easier after that. I seem to learn alot every year and sometimes Killing one bird.

Now that you've gotten your feet wet, you'll find that there's always something new to learn about turkeys. I've been at this since 1987 and learned this year, for the first time, that gobblers will sound off in front of you then sneak in behind you, catching you completely off guard and extending the chase for another day.
