I just cut this one out this morning, sanded it smooth, raised the grain, then sanded it again. I added a coffee stain to it to darken the curl and to bring the color out in this wood. I'm going to put a hand rubbed oil finish on it, the same way I used to do when I build long rifles. I'll take some more pics when it's done.
Thanks for looking, Scott

Very nice.
I obtained a pc of curly maple myself for just a project. Although I am not sure if I want to dye it or leave it girly.
Very nice, Scott! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Beautiful call! nice work scott!
I'm going to have a slate in it, but haven't desided on what soundboard I want in it yet and what tone of call I want?
