I stopped by the LGS today to shoot the bull for a minute and noticed a really nice looking shotgun in the rack. It was a used Mossberg 500C 20ga. It had a 26" vent rib barrel and 2 chokes. the gun looked brand spanking new but was actually a trade in. the fellow said he was stocked up with used shotguns and he'd make me a deal since nobody wanted a 20ga. $170.00 out the door. I've been an 870 shooter since 1974 but this is a really nice feeling shotgun. now the question...for that price should I grab it? I'd hate to bring it home and end up not liking it and be stuck but if it shoots anything like it looks and feels it would most likely be a keeper.
anyway, thanks for any advice
FOR THAT PRICE YES...IM 870 MAN ALSO BUT I HAVE SPECIAL EDITION 500 TURKEY GUN THRU NWTF ONLY A FEW WERE MADE AND I HUNT WITH IT EVERY YEAR...GOOD GUN..
thanks Greg. I'd prefer a shorter barrel but it is what it is. I'm gonna stop back by there tomorrow and handle it again. might just bring it home. can't be that hard to find a shorter barrel.
That's a good deal if it's as described
my son has a carlson .575. With #7 hevi shot. Good tight pattern at 35 yes.
I would take that deal in a heartbeat

For a $170, I would be showing it off on the forum as my new baby :-)
Good luck and keep us posted.

stopped by the gun shop today and walked out the door with the Mossberg 500C 20ga and 2 choke tubes for $150.00
Good deal..now the fun began's building you a 20 ga. turkey gun...it's a lot of fun..
it sure is Greg. I just did an 870 youth and the end result was amazing. Now I just have to get a gobbler with it to complete the process.
