Hello to everyone . I am just in my second spring of turkey hunting but I have been a hardcore deer hunter for over 30 years . I always bass fished in the spring until last year when I sold my boat so I wanted to try turkey hunting . I went with a good friend who is an experienced turkey hunter and he called me in a nice gobbler and that was my first turkey . I was hooked from that first hunt but this year I wanted to call in my own bird and this past Tuesday I managed to get a decent gobbler all by myself . I worked him for almost two hours in the rain and finally dropped him at about 15 yards . He weighed 20.5 pounds and had an 8 inch beard . Not huge but I was really proud of him .Anyhow , that's my story and I joined here hoping to learn all I can from this great group of turkey hunters . Thanks
