Been looking at the new Winchester SXP longbeard. Just curious if anyone had any feedback for me. Much appreciated!
I have the SXP turkey which is last years model. I love mine. I grew up carrying Winchester shotguns through the woods so when I wanted a dedicated turkey gun that's what I truly wanted. 12G, over bored barrel, chrome lined, iron sights (I replaced mine with a trs-25) full camo. The slide and the new inertia system take some getting used to though. With 2.75 you still have to cycle the action to eject and chamber a shell. With 3.5, it ejects the shell for you and you just slide forward to chamber a shell(this is what I'm not used to.) I have a carlsons .665 in mine. I am shooting longbeard #5 and #6 through mine this year but am definitely going to pattern more stuff next year.

I also have last years model. Get one you wont be dissatisfied!
I got 1 when they first came out. It's the 24inch 3.5 I shoot longbeard 6s with a 660 pure gold. I sent it to rob roberts this yr and had the forcing cone lengthened and barrel ported. It done great before I had the work done I just wanted to try and make it better. I'd recommend it to anybody
^ Have you shot it since the barrel work? I'd like to know how much it got better, if any.
