Title: Hunting video cameras
Post by: mossybird on April 03, 2011, 09:36:09 AM
All these good moments in the woods need to be recorded and kept. I have a blue Sony HandyCam DCR-SX40. Im pretty sure a turkey will see it . Let me know what you guys think.

I made a cover for my camera. I got some camo material and just cutt it and sowed in some velcro. I cutt a window for the viewfinder and it works great.

I have a small panasonic cam that is blue. I have had birds within 5 yds of me and they have never spooked from the cam. Just need to be careful when you move it. I put it on a small tripod and sit it next to me. I just keep forgeting to move it to follow the bird as it comes in.

I put camo clad tape on mine. I have no concerns about it affecting my camera and it is fairly expensive.
