Title: Nantahala National Forest
Post by: skridge on April 12, 2016, 11:59:33 AM
Me and buddy are heading to the Nantahala national forest to hunt! Any advice about this public land hunting? We will be around Murphy NC.

Read all the "ethics" threads. They won't help you kill a bird, and they won't tell you anything about that area, but they will prepare you, mentally, for situations you might have to deal with.

Hunt near the lakes. Be in shape. Get back in there a way and have fun. Still a little early yet. Not very green up high yet. Have my best luck later in the season.

They've been burning around WNC the last month, I believe I heard that 2000 acres were burned in the nantahala near Murphy the end of last month
