Went in this afternoon after school to see if I couldn't get one to come in. Slipped into a spot I knew held some birds but never got a response. So in eased on up the hill towards a large oak flat. As I got closer I could hear turkeys scratching around in the leaves. I slowly peeked over the edge and there stood about 15 hens with two longbeards in full strut. I raised my gun and when on of the toms came out of strut I let him have a face full of hevi 7's at about 30 yards. This season has been really good to me, can't wait to see what the rest of the spring has in store. Off to Kentucky in two weeks to chase some longbeards up there.
Good work! Congrats. Of course we all know that no pic = no bird! ;D
I can't get any of my pictures to resize so I can post them here. Any advice?
