Post by: hotspur on April 04, 2016, 11:18:11 PM
This may have been asked before but how about long term storage of a pile of beards?

Asumming long term storage? I would put them in some sort of container to keep mice out. They will destroy them. My fresh beards go in alluminum foil or a zip lock covered in borax and then on a board.

I use an old Blue Mason Jar now for my beards and spurs.

I store the beards that aren't in some form of display in a large hinged cedar box. Has kept them in good shape for many years.

I first use Borax to dry out and preserve the fleshy end.  Once dried, I place them on a display board with the fan and spurs, or I put them in a zip lock bag.  They keep real nice like that for me.

That is a nice pile of beards.

I received the Mahogany scratch box with the purpleheart and padauk strikers and she sounds great.

Thanks for the great call and service.
