Here is #2 ...Made from Alabama Damascus Steel that is hand forged in Jacksonville, AL with the aid of large air hammers. (these are not Pakistan blanks)
There are (4) layers of 5160 oil hardening high carbon, (3) layers 203E low carbon nickel steel, (3) layers of 52100, and (3) layers of 15N20. The steel is forged out and folded 5 times to give you 416 layers.
I used Snakewood and Redheart for the handles...but............my heart sank when I saw the crack appear on the right side...I did re-enforce it with CA and it will not come apart, but the crack still shows ....the whole knife is CA finished with Myland's Polish hand polished using cotton tee shirt...I will sell this one but with the crack showing i am not going to ask full price...even though i will guarantee it will not crack or open any further...it will come with the holster...
