Anyone like to use a ONE PIECE birch striker on a particular surface? What are the tonal qualities of birch as a striker?
Birch is really soft unless its been laminated and impregnated like Dymondwood. Regular birch will produce nice soft calls.
Ok, sounds like it might be a good striker on my slate call.
I ordered a birch, yellow heart, and hickory striker from Wendell at Lights Out. Can't wait to get them and try them out.
