Thinking of heading to Orange County New York to do a turkey hunt with my son that only lived there for a year and has no clue where to hunt but has the passion to turkey hunt like I do. I checked the New York State DOC and found a place called Stewart state forest anyone ever hunted it any clues where to start looking. Any other areas of interest I could hunt in New York! Maybe met up and do a hunt with someone I be more than happy to return the favor with a public land Hunt for an Osceola. Not looking for anyone's hotspot just someplace to maybe have a decent hunt. PM me some areas to look
I've never hunted that county, usually head for Sullivan Co. You might want to check out the NYC DEP lands that are available to hunters. The watershed has thousands of acres in several different counties. Go on their website and click on watershed recreation. There is a list of areas that allow hunting. They just require that you get a permit to be on their land. Good luck,
