I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole, just some info. IF I'm lucky enough to punch both of my KY tags I would like to try Tennessee. It's probably a shot in the dark anyway. My aunt owns a lake home just outside of Kingston in Roane county on Lake Watts Bar. I see there's a few small tracks of public land. Anywhere from 100-600 acres and then a big wma just over the county line. Is this a good area as far as huntable birds, preasure, ect? Thanks!
You volunteer boys must be tight lipped! Oh well looks like I'll be staying home since I found out I am laid off work next week for an undetermined amount of time.
I hunt Percy priest quite a bit. I know that's a decent drive from your aunts house but there are definitely birds there. Pressure can be heavy on the weekends but if you can hunt midweek after the woods have settled a bit then it can be very productive.

No huntable populations of birds anywhere in Tennessee
posting which WMAs are good on public forums has made said WMAs a lot less good and more crowded. There can be some good hunting if you poke around and do some homework. I used to be one who post about where I hunt and what I killed on public land, but learned the hard way when I started seeing and hearing of hunters flocking to the management area because they read online that it was really good.

Understood. I was just wondering about bird population and preasure in that area. If someone wanted info on KY WMAs I would certainly pm them specific info. I don't expect any local to share their got spot.
