Title: Good Luck Saturday the 2nd!
Post by: whiskey on April 01, 2011, 10:20:43 PM
Good Luck on the opening day Tennessee hunters and everyone else with a season open. Gonna be in the woods at O'dark Thirty tomorrow. It will be a little cold, but they gobbled good this morning, so hoping for lots of frisky birds.

Shoot a big'un!

Good Luck!  :icon_thumright:
We made our trip down to talk with the farmers today to make sure we were still good to go. Picked up an additional 600 acres on one farm and another 200 acres that hasn't been hunted for turkeys in years. Looking better all the time!

I got my butt kicked today. Birds roosted on another ridge than they have been roosting for weeks. Morning set up was busted. We adjusted and got on the birds before they pitched down, but couldn't get in front of them. Followed them all morning, just a step behind them. We didn't get aggressive since it's only day one of 6 weeks.

A steel T fence post does not make a great back rest.

Gonna get back at it in the morning.
