Title: Franchi Affinity
Post by: jtg88 on March 27, 2016, 04:12:56 PM
I'm looking at buying this gun in 20 gauge for my wife, who is only about 5'4" tall. Would she be better served with the standard sized Affinity or the Compact model?  It will strictly be a turkey gun.

Honestly if you can, let her shoulder both the standard size and the youth, from my experience with individuals that size the youth model fits them better.

My gf has the Affinity compact.  She's just a hair under 5'7" and it fits her like a glove, keep in mind the compact comes with not only shims for drop at heel but also butt pad spacers to adjust length of pull.  Before she bought the gun she shot my M2 20 gauge a bunch and like the gun overall but felt the Affinity compact was a much better fit.  She did handle and mount an M2 20 compact a bit and still thought the Affinity compact was an all around more comfortable fit.   A friend of ours who's about 5'4" shot a round of sporting clays with my gf's affinity compact and now planning to purchase on for herself she liked it so much. So I guess I'm saying definitely get the compact.
