Quick question for you guys as I don't have much experience with mounting optics to a shotgun. My wife has a Franchi Affinity compact 20 gauge that I plan on having drilled and tapped for the FF 336 base and mounting a FF III on it. I'd like to use the protector mount if possible so here's my question. Will the FF III Protector mount bolt directly to the 336 base or do I need a piece of picatinny rail to mount on top of the 336 mount for the Protector to sit on? Thanks
