Do any of yall use a saddle mount for a Remington 870 youth ?? If so what are the pros and cons ?? Thanks for any advice or help.
I use one on my youth 20, and used one for years on a 12 gauge 870. I always used the b-square mount and it has been 100 % reliable. I also like how you can see your bead down the channel under the mount in case your optic fails. But i have have the sure shot stock and the higher comb makes being able to use the bead as a back up useless.

:TrainWreck1: Ok. I just bought a Remington youth 20ga last week. Trying to get it ready for this year. I had a Simmons pro diamond on my 12ga but I retired it so I was wanting to put my scope on my new gun. Thanks again for your help. CJ
I have the youth 870 that i setup last year with the simmons pro diamond .. the saddle mount you want for the youth is a B-square remington 870 20 gauge express LT shotgun style mount Matte Black finish and it comes with rings. you can order this off amazon.. the old saddle mounts that fit the old 20 gauge will not fit the youth.. I have the shurshot stock and i don't have a problem seeing the bead...
Greg is right I forgot to mention there are two different 20 gauge mounts. I can see the bead but I have to hold my head at an awkward position and as far back as I can on the stock. It's is just a good bit more difficult than the standard style stocks.

I have this one on mine. It is an Aimtech ASM220 or ASM-220.
It works well. I can see the sights but I have to tuck my chin a little.
Every year I think of having mine drilled but there is no one close to do it.

I keep wanting mine drilled and tapped but I never get around to it.

Well I got my scope mounted on my gun this afternoon. Gonna go try to get it sighted in tomorrow.
What mount did you get ?
The B-square Rem 870 20ga Lt.
I new you would like the mount. That's a good mount for the money..The reason i had to use a saddle mount was because i don't have a gunsmith in my area...but after using it i really like it..solid mount. also if you want to know i can tell you what cap you need for your front sling so you will have attachment.....
I've already got the sling stud and front cap. Next is to get it patterned and sighted in
Great your ready to go...good luck on the pattern and turkey season...
Ga season opens in the morning !! Good luck to yall too. Thanks Mr Greg.
