Today I did some patterning to make sure my 870 was still on. Last year I was getting between 310 and 330 in a 10 inch at 40 with 60 degree weather, using hevi 13 2 1/4 oz 7s.
Both shots today were at a lasered 40 yards. The gun is a 870 SM 26 in. barrel, .660 JH choke, deep cleaned barrel last year, leupold VXI 1-4x20 scope. The temperature when I shot today was 50 degrees, very light wind. Same shells as last year lot #300325 ( still have 6 boxes ;D ) I did not clean the barrel in between shots.
First shot 322

Excellent!!!! :icon_thumright:
Nice pattern.
It appears the 20" pattern is good too!!
God Bless,

Thanks, I'm very pleased with this setup, I just wish I would have bought more of those shells last year. Curiousity has been killing me lately, so I imagine I'll be buying a box of the new lot #s, just to see how much of a drop in pellet counts I have.
excellent looking patterns :icon_thumright:
Nice patterns and I agree you have a good pattern at 20 inches also.
