Title: weaver kaspa scope problem
Post by: turkee56 on March 20, 2016, 01:47:04 PM
I bought a weaver 1 x4  kaspa turkey scope and mounted it to my Mossberg 835 . here is the kicker when I looked into the scope   and I see the cross hairs  and also the barrel of the shotgun. this is the  first time I  seen this when using a scope. is the scope to low or is it a problem with the  scope. looks like a mirage, like the barrel is floating in the scope.

You will have to get higher rings to get the barrel out of the view. It is a common occurance with no and low magnification and can also happen with a longer barrel and 4x scope.

If it is a 1-4x variable try 2x....usually if you crank up the power  a bit you won't notice it.

I hunt with my Simmons on 2x.

Is the barrel in the scope at 4X? Typically, I found that turkey scopes are required to be on the high side to use the reticle as a range finder. Otherwise, get higher rings as Snapper1982 mentioned above. Good luck.
