Title: browning silver problem
Post by: blueridgegobbler on March 19, 2016, 06:29:47 PM
I have a browning silver 3.5 with a 28 inch barrel shooting today and could not get tru glo pro series magnum gobble dots to adjust enough, Gun is still shooting low and to the left, who is a good gunsmith to adjust poa/poi. to me it looks like the rib has a slight cant to it I use this gun mainly for waterfowl but want to use it for turkey too. I also would like to shorten the barrel to 24-25 inches. I would just send it to browning but this camo realtree max 5 is no longer offered.

I would contact Briley if I were you. They can cut the barrel for you. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, that gun has a chrome lined barrel. That being the case, lots of smiths won't touch it as far as cutting and rethreading. As far as the sights are concerned, I'd put a red dot on it for turkeys. I've got one on my sx2 for turkey season and then pull it off for shooting trap and small game. Just a thought.
