Hello I have been trying to post pictures of a turkey call in the classifieds and it keeps telling me my file is to big. Can anybody tell me how to post pictures or resize them so they will work on here. Thank you Jeff W.
I use this website to change the size of the pictures: http://webresizer.com/resizer/
I just email them to myself n when size is asked I pick medium. Than save the pic and you can use it
You can also upload your photos to a site like photobucket.com and embed the img tags from there.
Personally, I love Photoshop... Cropping pictures, straightening pictures, improving the lighting and contrast, and resizing for emails and postings and whatnot...
Once I edit a picture in Photoshop, I save the edited picture in my files... If it is a picture I really like, I save it in both full size and reduced... Most of my pictures get saved as reduced sizes... I then categorize my pictures (i.e. family folder, fishing folder, duck hunting folder, etc.)
I have improved a lot of crappy pictures using Photoshop... Easy to straighten the horizon, crop out crap in the background, improve lighting/contrast, etc... Also nice to resize them for emails and posting...
I use Tapatalk to upload photos. The app gives you an option to re-size your photo to upload and I haven't had a problem selecting medium as my choice.

x2
Another good site for this is http://tinypic.com/
For simple editing and resizing, I just use iPhoto on my Mac. Under File/Export choose Custom size. A width of 720 pixels works well for forum posts.

I don't resize. I just use photo bucket... My pictures are huge though lol.... On second thought I should probably learn to resize.
Easiest way is just to open you pictures in Paint which is a common program all windows computers have. Then just resize the picture then save it until it is below 256 kb or whatever size is the largest the forum will allow. I will usually check the size of the file to start with by looking at the properties of file then go from there.
