I want to book with a good outfitter in the south zone for my 2017 season, since I'll be able to hunt the first week of March. Who would you fellas that have been in the south zone, recommend?
Swamp Gobbler Outfitters, between Okeechobee and Ft. Peirce. I have hunted with them several times and I'll be down there in a couple weeks to hunt with them again. Lots of gobblers and hogs. Charley and Ben are two of the best guys you'll meet.
I'll second swamp gobbler. Charley and Ben were great! Got mine and my dads opening weekend this year to complete our slams.
Mike Tussey at Osceola outdoors has a great operation.

Congrats!! Will they let the hunter call the turkey's? I know some outfitters won't let the hunter do anything but shoot and I'm not looking for that.

Another vote for Swamp Gobbler Outfitters. Ben and Charley are great guys and run an awesome operation. My daughter and I hunted with them on the youth hunt this year and she had her bird early the first day. We had such a good time I will definitely be going back when I can!
I just booked for the March Opener next year!
I hunted with charley. We both called together. You can ask him about the hen we had tore up calling to her.

Congrats man! Word of advise, If you hunt with Charley you best be in good shape and have a broke in pair of boots, that guy will cover some ground to put you on one.
Sounds like my Guide in SD... Dude was all lean and muscle. I kept up with him and refused to lag behind but my cardio got a workout. 19 miles up and down hills was no joke in 2.5 days...
