I'm heading to central Florida.  Generally, when do hens start laying?

Where I hunt in NE Florida about three weeks before the season opens. Aggravating.

They already are and in some places already in the sitting phase. It'a actually a good thing they're already laying and nesting in some areas.

A friend of mine that lives in Florida, I will be joinining him tomorrow :wave: seen a Gobbler breeding a hen yesterday about mid state on public land, guess where we will be saturday. :happy0064: :happy0064:

bring your rain gear.. it's going to be a wet one during the weekend.  Good news is all next week looks perfect.. a lot cooler temps too.

I'm leaving Saturday the 19th to head down to Florida with my Dad.  We start hunting on Monday the 21st.  Can't wait!! Hope to complete my second slam. Good luck to you.
