Title: Aftermarket recoil pad?
Post by: kdfester on March 15, 2016, 02:09:03 PM
Anyone have any recommendations on a new/better recoil pad for a winchester 1300 synthetic stock?  The factory pad is pretty well shot. Would like a nice fit. Thanks.

I have the bolt on Precision fit  Limbsavers on both of my Win1300's and love them. They make bolt on Limbsaver pads for both  the Synthetic (part #10301 )and the Wood stocks(10001) which is for a Winchester 1400 but fits 1300's as well.

Limbsaver is good but ive found they get "sticky" over time. Maybe they've fixed that but the one on my 300 WM, 870, Encore, and 270 all have gotten "sticky" to the point they stick to the floor of the gun case now. Don't know if they've changed that design or not?

I've heard that about the limbsaver, but I guess I'm old fashion I'll stick with pacmyer, been using them for a long time and have had no complaints.

I had one get sticky.

One call to Limbsaver and I had a new one at my door for free, via UPS in a couple days.  The lady told me they had a run of bad material years back and it "melted" and got gooey.

Good customer service right there.
