Title: Budget optic.
Post by: Dirtybird552 on March 15, 2016, 09:32:04 AM
Well my son learned what it feels like to miss. Last Saturday he called in his own gobbler all the way to 22 yards, and missed. After he calmed down and got his self together he told me he had trouble focusing on the sights. He has no problem using a scope/red dot ( he has used both to kill deer) and he is gung-ho on putting one on his turkey gun. He is the independent type and wants to buy it his self. So I need some suggestions on scopes/ red dots that's are proven under 50$? I know that doesn't buy a quality optic but I don't want him blowing a lot of money and then not liking it.

The Bass Pro labeled red dot works very well....I have one on a handgun that I use to plink around with and it seems fine.

I would imagine they are made by Truglo but I don't know that.

Best of luck!  Be sure and tell your son that will not be the last one he misses!!!
