Well let the spring madness begin. When scouting yesterday, I found a very freshly used strut zone. My 9 year old grandson and I will be setup on it tomorrow. He's excited and so am I. If he takes a bird it'll be his first. Wish us safety and a great hunt. :fud: :newmascot:
Be safe and good luck!
good luck and start the memories.

Well, here the official report....."no turkey." :( We went out on Saturday and Sunday and heard lots of gobbling on the roost and for fifteen to twenty minutes after fly down, but I was unable to get one to come to my calls. We still had a great time enjoying the Lord's creation. Regular season opens on the 19th and we'll be ready. Thanks for all the well wishes.
Glad you guys heard some gobbling. :icon_thumright: My grandson is too young to legally hunt, but he's going out with me for the first time this year. I took him out scouting last year, showed him some sign and he heard a few distant gobbles, but he has no idea what he's in for. ;D Good luck!!
Bob
Thanks for the update! I'd love to be getting out in the woods already let alone the Florida woods.
